Biography
About Majid Maybody, M.D.
Dr. Majid Maybody
Dr. Maybody is a vascular and interventional radiology specialist with over 20 years of experience and has held numerous clinical and administrative teaching and leadership roles. Dr. Maybody received his M.D. from Tehran University in Iran. He completed a residency in radiology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He then competed a fellowship in interventional radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is board-certified in both interventional and diagnostic radiology. Dr. Maybody has extensive qualifications in performing minimally invasive image-guided procedures. His primary clinical interest is to diagnose, treat, or palliate cancers and cancer-related conditions. As director of interventional oncology service, he leads the integration of cancer-related services at outpatient settings at the national level that provides more convenient options to patients and their care providers. Dr. Maybody has an academic interest in addressing cancer-related problems faster, more accurately, with greater safety, and results. He has trained many physicians in the field of interventional radiology. He has led pioneering clinical research and published over one hundred research papers.
