Biography
About John Thomas Malcynski, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.C.C.P.
Dr. John Malcynski is a board-Certified General Surgeon with sub-specialty training in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from medical school, he completed his General Surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, followed by fellowship training in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Malcynski served 23 years in the United States Army Reserves, where he rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Dr. Malcynski practiced as a trauma surgeon and general surgeon as well as a surgical intensive care physician for over 30 years. During that time, he has authored numerous scientific publications appearing in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals. His publication list includes book chapters and medical textbook contributions. Dr. Malcynski has spent years in academic medicine and has held faculty positions at Rutgers Medical School, The University of Miami, and FAU. He is responsible for teaching hundreds of present physicians. He has chaired or been a member of numerous hospital committees.
