About Stephanie Spano, M.D.
Stephanie Spano, M.D., believes that taking care of her patients is a privilege, and she prioritizes treating every patient with empathy. Dr. Spano earned her medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate College Medical School in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her internship at Mather Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY, followed by her residency in diagnostic radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital. Her residency included an early specialization in interventional radiology. She completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center & Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. During that time, Dr. Spano received two postdoctoral clinical fellow academic appointments in interventional radiology at Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Irving Medical Center, both in New York, NY.
Dr. Spano is a Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) member. In addition, Dr. Spano has attended the Venous Symposium and the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy. She has presented research completed during her residency to the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe.
