About Peter Smith, M.D.
Peter L. Smith, M.D., has been a practicing Vascular Interventional Radiologist for more than 20 years. He is board-certified and fellowship-trained in vascular interventional radiology and gastrointestinal GI/GU radiology.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received his medical training at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. An American Optometric Association research recipient in 1987, Dr. Smith completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in 1992, where he served as the Chief Resident in diagnostic radiology.
As a fellow of the Society of Vascular Medicine/Biology and member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, Dr. Smith serves as a mentor and proctor for numerous vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and interventional radiologists.
