Biography
About Darian Matissen, M.D.
Darian Matissen, M.D. is an interventional radiologist who has over 19 years’ experience in the field of Surgery and Vascular Interventional Radiology. She had performed innumerous vascular arterial and venous procedures, including hepatic, splenic, renal and uterine embolizations as well as biopsies, and is experienced in peripheral and central venous access.
Dr. Matissen graduated from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and started her training in General Surgery at New York’s Presbyterian Hospital in Queens. Dr. Matissen completed her training in Radiology at Harlem Hospital and a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York.
Dr. Matissen worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow evaluating diabetic wound healing in animal model at Columbia University, NY, in the Department of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Matissen has made presentations and submitted and published original research papers in medical journals.
