Every year many leading physicians join USA Vein Clinics to make a difference in the lives of patients suffering with pain by offering them minimally invasive and non-surgical treatments for vein and vascular diseases. A majority of these doctors consider themselves to be part of a big family; “The USA Vein Clinics family”. Our physician training is focused on excellency in patient care and team work. Every team member at USA Vein Clinics feels responsible and accountable for their actions.
This year we welcomed many new physicians to our USA Vein Clinics family. One of these new physicians was Dr. Monish Merchant, a vascular and interventional radiologist from Chicago, Illinois. We interviewed Dr. Merchant this week and are so thankful he shared his experience working with us.
Dr.Merchant told us he had been practicing medicine for about 6 to 7 years and completed his medical education from Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL and specialized in vascular and interventional radiology. We asked him what inspired him to become a doctor and he shared:
“I love helping people. I believe when people are sick they are in pain but at the same time they don’t understand what’s wrong with them and what can happen. One of the most important jobs as a doctor is to educate patients about their medical condition and involve them in the decision making for treatment.”
Dr. Merchant also shared he always wanted to improve the lives of people suffering with pain by offering them quality treatment and eliminating pain from their lives.
We asked the doctor what he considers is his most important contribution to the society and what he considers tobe the most important elements of healthcare and he stated:
“Helping patients suffering from vein and vascular diseases by offering them minimally invasive and non-surgical treatments as an alternative to surgery. I believe the most important contribution to the society as a medical doctor is improving the quality of life of patient by making them disease-free. I believe compassion, personalized relationships with physicians, better understanding and respect are some of the most important elements of healthcare.”
We asked Dr.Mercant why did he chose to work at USA Vein Clinics and he shared:
“ USA Vein Clinics offered better exposure of the services I provide to the patients and I preferred to work in a medical clinic environment as compared to a medical hospital. : I am proud to be a part of USA Vein Clinics due to the people who work here.”
Dr.Merchant also shared his favorite activities after work are golf, horseback riding, travelling, video games and spending time with family after work.
We would like to thank Dr. Merchant again for his time and sharing his wonderful experience working with USA Vein Clinics.
