Compression therapy implies a method of temporary closing malfunctioned by external compression with either special system of bandages or specific type of compression stockings. Compression therapy does not treat venous insufficiency, but can, however, optimize venous circulation for a short time. Appropriate use of this type of therapy is always only in conjunction with a definitive procedure.
