The Lymph Blood Vessel
Lymph vessel: A thin tube that carries lymph (lymphatic fluid) and white blood cells through the lymphatic system. Also called lymphatic vessel.
The Lymphatic system is a network of microscopic vessels assisting veins in delivering the blood back to the heart.
Conditions affecting lymphatic circulation are not very common in modern Western society. The most prevalent one is a lymphedema, a disease caused by compromised lymphatic return from an extremity. It often leads to progressive swelling of the involved extremity, which is a very different form of edema, due to other conditions such as heart failure and kidney failure,
